Do you have experience with the Drug Ciproflaxin?

my 72 yr old mother was prescibed ciproflaxin for a "tad bit of bronchitis". She has had severe nausea. So i did some reading and it seems a lot of people have this reaction or worse. also it says that if over 60 it can cause tendon rupture. any input on this med is appreciated.
