Can a tps be bad and not throw a code?

I have a 99 eclipse RS with the following symptoms, Hesitation when taking off(after that it pulls fine), Lumpy idle sometimes, jerky shifts sometimes(usually when the car gets to operating temp), bucking and jerking when slowing to a stop sometimes. And sometimes when accelerating, the rpms will increase randomly, and return to normal instead of rising steadily(the same when slowing down) The only code my car is throwing is a Rich in bank 1 code. it usually only acts up at operating temperture, I'm thinking once the car goes into closed loop the tps acts up, but it's not throwing a code for it. The transmission fluid is nice and pink, and the level is right.
