Dying my hair silver?

I wnat to dye my hair silver because I am shooting a music video. I have naturally black hair. Will silver hair dye work on black hair? Or do I have to get it bleached and then dyes at the hairdresser? Also if it turn kind of a platinum (blackish-silverish-greyish), thats okay too.
