What to look for buying an old lifted truck?

Im looking at getting an older truck, 80's chevy or gmc, possibly 90's chevy or gmc, a jeep cherokee or wrangler also kind of catched my attention, or broncos/ blazers. Haha i lik e alot, but im looking for one already lifter, 4" 6" or 6" with 3" body, but either way i want to know whast to look for to make sure this truck will be good and reliable daily driver. I would like to know what its like to drive them, weird things about how they drive from a normal truck, and what things to look at, remember this has to be a reliable daily driver, that can do a little light off roading. But either way if you could help me out that would be great, im competent with cars, worked on them my whole life as well as bikes and want to get into thetruck game to tow my cars and bikes ha and off road. So i know what im doing and am an aviation mechanic by trade, so tell me what to look for exactly if you could, that would be great help and very appreciated.
