Why do people believe in Christianity?

They don't care about evidence or what makes sense and what doesn't. They just cover their eyes and follow whatever faith is available to them. Usually because their parents told them to. Just worry about yourself and find whatever seems most logical to you. I think it's good you aren't just closing your eyes and believing whatever you want to.
