Will that p hurt my baby's ears?

I am getting ready to go on a trip with my dad and am worried that going over the p will hurt my 5 1/2 month old son's ears. If it does, what can I do to help him feel better? He doesn't take a pacifier and is fed so there won't be any bottles.
